I either buy the materials or reimburse them directly after they show a receipt and I validate that the type and quantity of materials is appropriate for the job at hand, lest they buy extra on purpose to return and pocket the difference.If the job includes permits, I like to schedule my draws immediately after the city inspector signs off on work ... no sign off, and the job is not done yet, and they don't get paid.
