Just graduated school and getting started in real estate investing but realizing the difficulty of acquiring seed capital really quick.

I am new to real estate investing and I would like feedback on my strategy and any pointers on how to get started.I have approximately $100K to invest and would like to build a RE portfolio using this seed money along with savings generated from my day job ($20K-$50K annually)Similar to most, I'd like to have investments sufficient to generate enough cash flow to support my needs and allow me focus on real estate on a full time basis.

Years later when I ran into my own problems I latched onto that advice along with healthy eating (i.e. the selenium in sunflower and pumpkin seeds help give you a positive attitude - no joke), exercising and listening to positive empowering music (I'm a positive hip hop fanatic - check out Dead Prez's 'Refuse To Lose'.)Embrace the energy you feel is making you "nearly homeless" and turn it into steam to move forward and succeed.

Plant the seed of an idea but don't get too bummed out if nothing takes root.

Gotta plant that seed early before traditional schooling grooms them to be an employee. ;-)

We are all passionate about REI but at times are greatest value as investor is patience..watching seeds grow..but we also need hustlers people with time, is that you?

All the hard work put in now is a seed that will bear wonderful fruit later.

Did the seed sprout inside.  

Not to go too far afield from the original question but this town is different from any other towns with trains because we are  our own little slice or paradise...when you throw your line in the ocean you pull out a plump tasty fish and when you scatter some seeds you grow our own special datil peppers to make a tasty hot datil sauce to brush on your tasty fish...and then throw some oysters and clams on the beach fire grill...we have oceans where you can surf and skim board and Intracoastal where you can Kayak and windsurf  and marshes where you can see pretty pink spoonbills and historic streets and buildings where you can dress like a pirate and drink rum and go argggg....when you can live here NO ONE I repeat NO ONE wants to live by the tracks...so to the original poster I say I would NOT buy anything on the railroad tracks !
