I love snowboarding and the outdoors so naturally I looked at Lake Tahoe first as this would be the ideal location I would want to live and rent out.

Pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, theater room, tiled wndow sills, etc. 

I did that for my outdoor hot tub. 

@Richard F.In my primary residence, we have echobee and it has homeIQ thermostat data, basically it shows outdoor and indoor temperature for selected date range.

Tons of outdoor recreation is being built every day there.

You just gotta start skiing or some other outdoor activity in the winter, then you'll get used to it. 

A fire pit would really tie together the outdoor space, especially in the nighttime shots.

If you mean in an unarmed outdoor confrontation, yes, but people have "rights" under the law and exponentially more ways to retaliate against you.

I would have a "Come to Jesus" meeting with the owner..... you follow the lease and the law, or .you find another PM.As to a large property, thats a bit more "gray"...... as long as the owner isnt snooping around the actual building and close outdoor living areas the tenants use, then I wouldn't be as upset with the owner
