I used these on hard surface floors and have been glad I did (they get beat up but the floor underneath is preserved).I also advise tenants on having a rug/ pad/ protector under any sharp furniture legs and to look out for gravel stuck in your boot, etc.An added benefit: on the turnaround you just sweep/vacuum and damp dust/swiffer the floor and it is ready for the next tenant (provided it did not get damaged).

The damages include:No deep cleaning - he didn't even vacuum Numerous adhesive and puncture hooks on the walls Trim that was substantially dinged and scratched up in a number of placesSome large scratches in the floor in one roomA large orange stain on the deckAnd a satellite dish installed on the roofThe tenant followed-up with a threatening email telling me that he disagrees with all charges and that he expects the full amount refunded by Nov. 30th or he will file in small claims court for this and also punitive damages.
