Have you ever encountered someone from the northern regions expressing a desire to retire in a perpetually cold and overcast place where they'd spend their days shoveling snow in sub-zero temperatures?

Trash removal and proper handling; not allowing food or cooking/heating appliances in bedrooms; temperature controls; yard maintenance, shoveling snow, basically anything that you need to tell your kids to do, you need to have a plan for the residents.

Of course, possum have a lower core body temperature = they almost never gets rabies and are not aggressive so let's just say a possum has nothing to worry about if it's caught by me :-)

I would think the same laws apply that as long as the property is within the legal temperature limits shutting it off isn't an issue.

I think there’s an issue with the A/C or maybe a blockage in the ducts because the a/c is running nonstop but won’t cool below 75 degrees (it’s set on 68 with the fan running). its been hard to regulate the temperature in the house for awhile but more intermittently.

For instance when it's REALLY HOT in Saudi Arabia and the middle east, or inundated with rain and snow in other parts of the world, coming to Orange County where winter temperatures are between 68-72 during the day, is a welcome change, and we don't have hurricanes! 

It's the reason why you don't see a ton more vacation rentals on those sites.There are limited exceptions in Vegas, such as condo-hotels, but your plan @Liam Weld would not fall into those.If you wanted to try it, I would look into the idea of doing it with a property that is technically in unincorporated Clark County, as that might possibly work.
