All this has created a poor investment climate mostly in central Dekalb ( as compared to Dunwoody and Decatur areas - close to other hot areas), and property values really haven't kept up with the surrounding areas ( not that the surrounding areas are topping the charts - but have been improving nicely over the past few years).That said, even in slow areas with crime, poor schools, etc- people still want to live there- or all the houses would be vacant!
