I never understood why a tenant would pay in advance until many years ago when I was a renter myself in a 4 unit complex.

I have never understood people in business settings having massive egos haha. 

I obviously know agents don't do inspections or title work but what should be understood is that for the consumers saying how can I cut my fees you get what you pay for.
