You can use colorful sticky arrows with hand written numbers on them to correlate to your who must do what by what date notes.Buy a BIG stapler that can staple large contracts.Plug your Todo and the other guys milestones into you calendar or project timeline software.Expect the other guy to Donk contract things up and not be as organized as you are, and watch for that, and since you are ready with arrow flags you can easily and quickly via email or phone point out the contract language needed to help him stay on track (if needed).Good Luck!

Pull the carpet, pull tack strip and freaking staples and if you can, wax the hardwood several times, if it's too far gone, paint the sucker.

You can just staple-gun some rubber or plastic sheeting (kind of like shelf-liner) and upturn the edges for some drip catching.Or, you can "tile" under the counter with the peel-and-stick adhesive tiles.

FYI: I went to Staples and bought A Landlord Packet for around $45, it contains sample lease info, move in/out checklist, various forms for entering/notification etc. and a good amount of info and state specific laws on disc.

They nailed 1x2 furring strips to the bottom of the joists, and then used long staples to attach the tiles to the furring strips.

Turns out the hardwood floors beneath are in great shape but the caveat is that they used 2" narrow staples to fasten the underlayment and they are not coming out.
