As for renting YOUR appliances to the tenants, that is plain wrong.

I had a house (good tenants gone bad) where they got sick, took down every detector, smoked in the house, had oxygen.

I pair these with doorknobs that are plain with absolutely no lock.

It makes me sick.  

Start talking to other lenders, plain and simple... you preapproval does not hold you obligated to anything.

And I've just regrouped and come back enough to know that regrouping and coming back are a lot more possible than what they seem to be in our worst moments, and that experience, sure, that's a personal resource.Perhaps it's just a sickness. 

I'd also go by the home and post a notice of an inspection-you never know something could have happened to them (either they left, are sick).

I've had some work items bogging me down along with a very sick relative.
