With its booming housing market, the Phoenix real estate scene has emerged as a hot zone for fix-and-flip investors.

I'm a huge fan of San Antonio as an STR market, but it is, like most "mature" markets, very sensitive about WHAT performs well. 

A good PM can often get higher rent to offset their cost because they manage at arms length compared to the owner who may be worried about charging market because it’s “too high”.

What markets would you suggest looking at?

I am newly married and have a hefty mortgage myself, but I manage to save a decent amount of money realistically 10-15k a year I have been working as a construction worker as long as I have been working I am a mason by trade and even though moneys tight I know I will be a successful investor even in the current market.

Talk to local investors, study rent comps, and understand how leasing cycles work in your chosen market.

However, I am also considering duplex and tri-/quad-plex assets if they pencil.Additionally, I currently work for a locally-based commercial developer/lender on multifamily, land, and some hospitality projects.
