I'm in the process of looking for my 1st deal and I found by driving for dollars a property that was "in a jungle".

We had the house across the street and spent several weeks looking at this big fella just sitting with a jungle around it.

One of my clients in NYC backed out of a deal because the backyard 1. was paved incorrectly causing leaking and water sewage issues and 2. was looking like a cement jungle with the brownstones and fences around it.

I have a 15' tall cactus in my front yard.

In some areas, waiting two weeks or a month will mean a jungle and possibly citations and fines. 2) Reliability.

Just go pitch a tent and take a whiz on a cactus.

If they planted cactus or palms for staging, those plants aren't going to make it.  

We had to pull out every bit of "landscaping" that existed because it was a jungle - vines growing through the windows and weeds covering all kinds of hazards around the house.
