Just be sure to check local regulations for Airbnbs.For long-term rentals, growing cities with strong job markets and affordable housing are ideal.

So, while in some ways its great in others its less than ideal.

From that experience, I got the idea of just building a multifamily (ideally a quadruplex) from the ground up as my next home to house hack in.I've done some preliminary research and had some questions if any experts care to chime in:+ There aren't many multifamily zoned lots in metro Atlanta.

People are busy with the holidays, and very few are focused on moving. 22 days isn't ideal, but it's not bad for this time of year.

Ideally, I would prefer to capture their existing bookings after closing, by directing existing bookings to my new listing, but there are some dependencies/uncertainties I'm working through and would appreciate any advice or shared experiences here.

I would say suburbs would be ideal for you.

The sellers are mostly hedge funds selling non-performing mortgages and the buyers are ideally local investors who would be likely buyers for the REOs once the foreclosures are completed.
