This one has the added advantages (not) of needing HVAC and ductwork, as well as new windows. 

If the current heating system is a forced air furnace, give-up all hope separating the ductwork for seven furnaces ... it would be cost prohibitive, even if you went with the small ducted high velocity furnaces.

Hi Gregory,I'm confused, are we talking about plumbing vents (ie: pipe of some kind) or ventilation fans and duct work?

It didn't have a furnace, duct-work, garage, fully operable windows, or, ahem, drinkable water - but it was THE house.

If that is the case, you'll just need to reconfigure the duct work and add another furnace.

Would there be any issues with the pipes in the floor and duct work etc?

All the insulation under the floor and around pipes and duct work was torn off and spread around.

We even replaced all of the duct work to make sure there wasn't any remnants of the smell.
