Typically these old basement slabs are something like a 3/4" thick slush coat of oncrete over dirt, and are sloping slightly towards floor drains which means the floors are not level, and the ceiling height can range a bit.

@JD Martin  bottom line just like Morris was able to convince his clients what a great investor he was etc.this pilot does stupid pilot tricks acts like an expert when in fact .. he is anything but and I just lucky he has not augured in. and taken anyone with him.problem with MOrris is he augered in with 400 plus investors on board.

where do I start, Outdated fuel box need to be replace, had to add a French drain due to flooding. etc etc  I think I would of been better off being my own GC doing everything myself.
