As an experiment, we went with high end leather in our newest cabin - several Ralph Lauren pieces and a couple of Drexel, and they are extremely durable. 

Yes I get all my mortgages from women in high heels and leather whips :mrgreen:

My grandfather was a master craftsman, he made holes with augers, cuts with hand saws, sanded wood my hand and carved it with chisels and hard wraped leather mallets.

The interior is leather and mostly neat but not spotless.

I donot know anything about Cape coral except there are crocodiles and tornados and its humid.

We see (literally) chair legs falling off in a month, "leather" movie seats delaminating in a year....the list goes on and on.
