There are some gems of antiques here.Above the attic is a Belvedere which gives a panoramic of the city - at the time the house was built the owner would have been able to observe both the dockyard and his cotton mill from here.There is also a 3-story carriage house (800 ft^2 / floor) on the property which could be turned into a triplex - once you got all of the old tac and antique furniture out of it.I could get this house - which is still in the tony part of town - and its contents for an amazing price - but what would you do with it?

I still find it very amusing that the fear for the impact the hemp industry would have on the timber/cotton/pretty much any fiber based product industry has deemed the cultivation of hemp illegal, but the taxation and capitalism behind cultivating a mind altering substance such as marijuana is ok because it doesn't compromise other big money industries.

Tim read the response i posted to jawsette but lets just do a bried overview, the products that supported america when it was brand new tobacco, rice, indigo, sugar, then later cotton in the south who worked the fields to grow those crops.

I tried putting in a plugin freshener but the vinyl smell is competing with the freshener now.If I had to describe the smell it would be fresh cotton with a hint of burnt plastic and a dash of grade school eraser.
