Because we bought the property in late December and quite a bit of the work was on the exterior (roof, siding repairs, porch reconstruction and painting the entire house, porch and deck), we had to contend with the weather so it pushed things out a bit.

These kinda of "neighbor" issues happen no matter what type property you are working on, whether you in a high-end hood with a bunch of rich folks, or a low-end hood with a bunch of not so rich folks, NEIGHBORS are always something your team will have to contend with.

Also I like my sides flush with the cabinet so there is no cut end to contend with and would have used a bullnose end piece instead of the metal edge.

Staining is another issue you may need to contend with.I then laid 244 1x2 Porcelain tiles in the kitchen on my current rehab & after all the abuse the tile has been subjected to (as we advanced through the home) the only casualty was some minor grout cracking.

I have seen a number of these run in small diameter piping so they are much easier to contend with compared with older exhaust lines that typically vent through the flue.
