And currently they're running trillion dollar+ annual deficits...and that's with a republican in the white house. 

The federal budget continues to grow and the country runs at a budgetary deficit.

Not to sound gloom and doom but if the SEC every did a sneak peak at bigger pockets they could reduce our deficit significantly with the number of people who would be fined for this type of activity.
