For example, the condo market in NYC, the broader housing market in London and price compression in Toronto.

I started in '09 after the real estate (and broader market) meltdown - don't forget that we're fairly late in the real estate cycle.

I don't see how Airbnb is any different than VRBO in broader terms, though. 

For me it will be totally cash flow based.. run the numbers... in general you will likely get a better return with multi.. on the flip side when it comes time to dispose you will have a broader buyer base for a single family with investors and end users vs usually only investors for multis.. really depends on your plan and goal..

My local market is getting too pricey so I have to set my horizons a little broader.

It acts as a homeowner's policy and an STR policy, and their coverage areas seems broader than other products. 

As others have said, this provision is even broader because it also makes the Owner responsible for injuries to the PM's employees.You should have an experienced attorney review in conjunction with your insurance policy to determine the real scope of additional risk you are taking, and what portion, if any, might be uninsured.
