If you're going the umbrella insurance route, make sure it will cover you for several things including just the routine slip and fall (like mold or earthquake).

In the meantime, we might have earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, or hyperinflation. 

Hello Everyone,I have been trying to figure out how to get in contact with the co-owner of a property who lives out of the country (he lives in Haiti).

There are lots of earthquakes there6.  

Trying to get someone out on Turkey Day would have cost you 3-4x as much and so I think it was reasonable to wait. 5 day turn around time with a weekend, holiday, and third party involved, not bad at all sir....3) Agree with previous post, will probably be outside of the scope.4) Unless there was an acute event which caused the leak, i.e. earth quake, flood, external damage, etc., my guess would be no.

Auckland has around 25% of the whole population, and christchurch is recovering from our earthquakes he had in 11-12, you will love it here good market or not, very nice place to visit.

But in the intervening few months required to evict him, what kind of building insurance can I get to protect myself against fire, earthquakes...?
