You definitely want to get their perception of repairs needed to the home, which might be different from what you or the seller think it needs.

My concern is not about the radon itself as long as it is controlled, but rather about the perceptions that people may have if they don't know much about radon.

I am not certain of the exact thread; as Alex said above it is more of a perception that an FHA deal is more onerous on the seller. 

There is a common perception or belief that real estate is a "learn as you go" business.

It's likely more than background noise, but less than a primary driver(this is personal intuition speaking, not something garnered from hard data.)But inflation is one of those situations where perception becomes reality.

While that may be true for some, it is certainly not true for all, your statement gives the perception that "all" investors are negatively affected.

@David Cook Our market currently is like buying an 60% Oil / 40% inverse S&P 500 index ETF we tend to track relative to those factors (at least that’s the commonly held perception).
