Mainly, the systems implemented are fascinating. 

Real estate in general is really fascinating to me, so it's fun to research and put time in to learn about other markets.

REI is fascinating, and also most of the time with a lot of risks, sometimes for those experienced, but more for inexperienced with cash to invest, and more often with very limited individuals with cash or credit.  

One fascinating example from The Big Short is this Mexican immigrant strawberry farmer living in California that was able to get a mortgage on a $750,000 house based on a stated income of around $15,000 annually.  

The dollar is looking better then the Euro because of countries like Ireland and Greece.

One thing that's fascinating is that the whole classification thing is 'in the eye of the beholder', as the disagreements show, especially in the middle rankings.
