I used to work in mental health/addiction recovery before jumping into REI.

I am faced with a dilemma: Do I spend all my time and efforts looking for a job right out of college or would it be possible to jump right into real estate investing? 

So for the average person I always hear you should go visit the place which is obvious however the dilemma that I'm coming to is should you go to the area to get a general sense and then return home then schedule a few viewings then come back again or should you just bid on a house then if they accept it come only once? 

I am waiting on information from him on the health of the property so hopefully I should know more on that soon.
