It make me very nervous as money is usually a ploy to distract me from something they are hiding, like the dog may be a out of control monster that eats door frames.

Another thing you need to do is getting your location located that is convenient for you and has the fewest distractions.  

It's easy to get bogged down in that area, which typically is just a distraction for action. 

This allows them to shop around and they may get distracted and not follow through with their initial intentions of renting your place.

There are soooo many distractions and time wasters.

But this time distractions(life,family,church) kept me from moving forward.

It might still happen but I have been distracted by some bigger partnership deals.  

And despite some opinion on the board, I think it was calculated risk.We all have different goals in this game, and people forget that having a full time job (and managing a family) is a big distraction from your goals. 

I had a few distractions but for the last 6 or 7 months I have been on track.

For me it is distraction.
