I know this is an investing forum, but does anyone know of viable foreclosure prevention resources?

I'm not a lawyer but  I think the fact that it doesn't prevent you from charging whatever you want is the way they are trying to get around rent control.

@Steve SonnesonOne thing you may run into is a similar version of what we have here in Madison, which is an ordinance that prevents more than 2 unrelated persons to live in any house zoned as traditional residential.

Since the original tenants were still in these 4 units, I did not rehab, just regular preventative maintenance.

If the more expensive 3500sq ft house was going to prevent me from getting another loan down the road because it added an extra $150,000 of debt I might stay in the existing house for a while longer and buy the 2500 sq ft rental house.

What you explained in your post is kind of my fear and I don't want to fear it so much to where it prevents me from acting.
