That should be a red flag right there.  

@Jun Zao The first red flag is make sure that 7th unit is legal...knowing the Chicago housing stock most of the 3rd, 5th, & 7th units were units added on you want to make sure they are legal.

If you have to explain the business model to the guy then that should be a red flag he doesn’t want you as a customer .one of the main rules of investing is to seek competent advise .

You don't know the red flags to warn you of pending problems and you don't know how to deal with the problems when they surface.

Like any investment you have red flags to stay away from, one problem with stocks is the red flags seem very attractive to the uninformed-  like a low share price and a high dividend (stay far away from that) Do you have an interest in stock analysis or following the markets?

The red X is probably the firefighter symbol that means the building is vacant and unsafe to enter.

For sure comparing green apples to red apples considering LA , SFV is another unique animal.
