Cotton, lead, sugar, etc have risen in price more than gold, but imagine how much lead or sugar or cotton you would have to store to keep a million dollars worth... and transportation, and some of those are not so durable...

We're going to have driverless trucks transporting materials, autonomous quadcopter drone fleets and other robots assembling, maintaining, recycling standardized multifamily. 3/4 of existing housing in this country is going to go to the bulldozers in 100 years because the skills to maintain it will simply be gone.
