There is no longer permitted to be a "tenant death penalty" in a lease - the following information came from a post on the DIG answer line (made by one of my sub group's co-leaders):A "death penalty" is a lease provision that makes a deceased tenant's estate liable to the landlord for penalties and rent under the lease.
