If you have caution because of the rates, I do respect that, and no shame in not getting the 3/1.5… if the 3/1.5 is attainable for you, of course I’ll agree it’s the better asset. but if worrying about it somehow makes you continue to decide to pay for someone else’s mortgage as a renter, at the rate of 100% interest and 0% principal, I would always say, buy.
