They are a pain in the @ss but are just doing their job and being nice to them will get you further than screaming at them which is what most landlords do.You can do it on your own but if its killing you, hire a lawyer, the peace of mind is worth the money.

I do NOT wish to renew the lease due to various problems with this tenant ( complaints about tenant smoking weed in the hallway; tenant being late at least 5 times with paying rent and incurring late; tenant refused to allow complete access to apartment during annual inspection; constant yelling and screaming coming from tenant' apartment, etc).I need to find a NY Landlord/Tenant  attorney who works in the Brooklyn, NY and is very familiar with LINC housing program and/ or Section 8 program.Thank you for any information you can provide.
