Having the ability to create a report that showed me exactly who had not paid their rent and included their phone number and e-mail address allowed me to contact them with a friendly reminder before they got the "nasty-gram" 3-day notice on their door, or in their hand. 

Whats going to happen on day  1826, I'm going to wake up at 11am instead of 5am and do nothing but scroll through insta all day until its time for bed throwing away all the habits I've built?

It isn't like no one ever gets hacked like, oh say Equifax, Yahoo, IRS, SEC, Instagram, Deloitte, Kaspersky, Verizon, Discus, T-Mobile, and on and on.

Use your Expertise to do pre-Marketing to get a fairly good determination on potential leads even before you start.That way the conversion of Leads to Opportunities can be quicker as you'll know exactly who to target.In some way, you can start branding yourself, get a website going, put on some great Marketing materials, see if you can build your business as quick as you can and then you have proven to yourself that you are not just an employee that worked at a Marketing firm, but an Entrepreneur that can take the skills that your learned to be a Marketer and employ it to your own business.There are so many ways that you can do things now, with social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and other digital marketing, and again, being an expert at it, I can't see how you cannot succeed in Real Estate, which is ultimately a Marketer's dream job.JUST MY OPINION!

I do believe it is a tale of two worlds here though.

I have a small gram scale I weighed it with, went off the engravings for purity info, and Google'd current gold rates.

A good agent can tell a tale of your home that will interest the internet viewer to want to come by and take a look.

There was also the tell tale stair step cracks on the outside of the same room.

I agree with you there is a lot of advice given by people who "believe" a certain concept is true but have no real experience in it - a tell tale sign of a rookie's advice everyone needs to ignore. 

Don't go crazy with a bunch of "Instagramable" photo ops.
