Guru-heavy on the monthly speakers, but usually a good Q&A session before that and, again, some good networking.

For example, during a seminar organized by American Chamber of Commerce and Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong two weeks, we put together 4 guest speakers to talk about overseas real estate investing.

Later this month, Alex and I will be speakers at the Vacation Rental Success Summit in Toronto, Canada.

It's hosted by Christina Suter, attended by super nice people and amazing speakers who have DECADES of experience.

The other we do catered food, cash bar, and have 1 guest speaker come to talk to the group.

@Barry Ratliff   WOW what a history and wealth of knowledge....you'd be a fantastic speaker at any investment club.If you are accredited, then I would be looking at syndications.....NNN, apartments, storage, industrial warehouses....that's the passive part.Almost everything everyone else says is passive is probably really active....even these activities above can be somewhat active until you hand over your money.

I strongly encourage you to join your local REIA and sit through every speaker over the course of a year, you will have your mind opened to numerous avenues that are real and replicable.
