Unless portage along the Columbia inlet picks up, or they bring back the olde thyme steamboat tours I often wonder what’s going to become of these old port towns.

The university is the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.

The sprawl is very real around here and other than Charleston and Columbia, traffic is manageable, so people don't mind commuting.

You talk about quality of life etc. small town vibe but has airport to get to Seatac  you have the cascades on one side  Columbia river running through it  Lake Chelan just North  its a wonderland.   

I also own a SFR in Columbia Heights.  

My Market, Columbia, SC usually has $500-$1000 in Ernest money.
