Yes, I'm helping L, I had a conversation with the owner coming to an agreement but as I mentioned he retracted his agreement and manipulated a new lease, failed to mention he back dated it (before the girls moved in) showing M as a tenant with the lease expiring.Funny too, another tenant is moving out this weekend, different deal but the owner jacked the rents up 25% to drive them out, another violation here.

I would think the liability would make me want to have this person as my employee (and therefore somewhat lower paid) rather than giving them the autonomy to build a property management business.Thoughts?

@Jay Hinrichs - I think charging a higher rent to a felon would be considered a fair housing violation, just like it would be to charge an old person a higher rate because they may not live long enough to finish the lease term.
