Im a workaholic and thrifty with a keen Eye for Detail...

They prefer to invest in high-quality areas in gateway cities - they don't necessarily think about using those houses as vacation homes.Another segment of overseas investors is very keen on high-yield properties in second tier or third tier cities in which they can make 8-10% net rental yields.And yes, as you mentioned, some of our overseas investors are keen on commercial properties but obviously a much higher price point.

To solve @Cam Jimmy's problem about getting agents to submit low-ball offers, i'd suggest either giving agents payment for their time, supporting the offers with facts and data, or find a young, energetic, keen and obedient agent to take orders.  

A house recently came up for sale right around the corner from where we live and I am very keen and buying it.

Anyway I hv always been keen to venture into US real estate market for some time.

I looked at a home that needed some rehab and the seller's agent said the seller wasn't too keen on FHA loans because she had already dealt with another buyer who also wanted to finance with FHA.
