So my wife and I got married recently and given the obvious financial circumstances we had to use credit cards for our wedding etc etc etc.My credit score is not bad but I'd like it to be higher.

He was open about remodeling his back yard to hold wedding receptions, but the business would have been illegal due to zoning, so he befriended all of us so we wouldn't complain.

Foundation has several vertical cracks.Been vacant for a lot of years.Because - and only because - the inside is in great condition AND it's 10 min from major skiing, water parks, hiking trails, brewery, wedding venue, Adirondack trail, and some other fun stuff, I am seriously considering it and everyone in my circle is telling me to walk away.I've gotten quotes so I know the dollars for septic and foundation.

We have delayed planning and paying for our wedding until our living situation can improve.

The only problem is I don't have that much to get started with right now and I live in NJ...On top of that, I'm also saving for a new car within the next 2 years (will just buy something reliable and used to save as much $$$ as possible...mine has 187K miles on it right now), a wedding within the next 5, and I have my monthly student loan payment...so how am I supposed to save enough to still have enough for at least a 20-25% minimum down payment plus reserves for rehab.

I also visited an old friend whose wedding I'm going to in June, and it just so happened that she was 5 days away from listing her house that she had bought two years ago (once married, she's moving to Indy where her fiancee lives). 

Nope.Also be very sure you want to involve yourself in events before you take a booking for something like a "small" wedding or "cozy" party.
