I think with all the businesses surrounding the stadiums, six flags etc its a great mid level renter market!

@Sharon Tzib This is a property in Arlington near the Cowboys Stadium and Ballpark in Arlington.

They have had multiple attempts at using that property, from proposing a new stadium for the Falcons to brown space development such as Atlantic Station.

My current home has views of uptown and I also have a quarter acre lot and am in walking distance to the NFL stadium, NBA arena, new minor league baseball stadium and a host of restaurants the theater, and museums.Seversville is the adjacent neighborhood where we are building 6 new bungalow homes.

I live in wisconsin and they have passed or discussed similiar measures for shortermrentals around the Green Bay Packer stadium as well as in Oshkosh for the air venture air show.

Inglewood is absurd because of the stadium,  but I do think there may still be deals with some cash flow  (and definitely appreciation), in Hawthorne, Gardena, possibly Carson, and if you are up for it, Compton and some unincorporated areas nearby.

My son rents in Smyrna but will move out of the area.You didn't mention if you were going to flip or rent.First, it may seem like the Smyrna area is improving but not nearly as fast as East Cobb, Roswell and Alpharetta.2) The Smyrna schools are the worst in Cobb County and never seem to improve.3) The crime rate in Smyrna is the highest in the county, now that heroin is so easily available in that area.4) Because the new SunTrust Braves stadium is opening this spring the traffic will be horrendous.5) Smyrna is a very transient area and doesn't have a sense of community.Highest recommendation would be certain areas of Kennesaw (Legacy Park),East Cobb, western area of Roswell near Hwy 92 and definitely Woodstock.

That area is only improving with a large state farm headquarters going in and the Braves stadium moving to the north side of town. 

The Bears stadium has been sold and will be re-developed into commercial and residential spaces.
