However, the biggest con is that you are sacrificing a bit of your privacy by living right by your tenants and it is usually a lot more stressful since everything is your responsibility - managing tenant issues, handyman repairs, taking care of the lawn, etc.I would strongly recommend house hacking especially in the Columbus Ohio market!

The THING they seem to not be taking into account is that the sponsor is responsible for one half of any losses.  

I’d recommend something like the tenant is responsible for the first $500, $750, or whatever in repairs for each occurrence.

And although I'm grateful to have found another lender to get it done, it cost me more money in points, a higher interest rate because of the current rate was higher than previous, and I had to buy another appraisal for $750.The response I received from one of the founders of the company states: "We are not able to refund any amounts at this time as the time of quality control has passed....
