After 35 years I’ve developed a healthy respect for this business from the school of hard knocks.The day I’ve discovered this business is easy or simple will be a good day to retire.

It's a good way to marry rehabbing distressed real estate equity capture with long term note income for retirement accounts for those that are interested.

We had vacationed there for years and viewed it as a place for future retirement.

So after being laid off a few times in the last 8 years I decided to get back into investing but this time focusing on buy and hold multi family real estate so that I could built wealth that could help me retire my wife who just had a long battle with cancer and survived , but is now back to work, and I want to give her a relaxing life free of all the stress of the world (by the way did I mention she is also in the mortgage lending field) so that explains the urgency to retire her from w-2 work ! 

For perspective, last April I closed on a new construction loan (build to rent) with a turnkey company there (Rent to Retirement).

Yes, this was a Rent to Retirement purchase. 

This provides extra peace of mind in case your upleg does not work out or the seller or lender will not deal.4) Truly retire for real estate ownership.
