I'm going to close and resell as fast as possible, well we will spend $40,000 on the remodel.  

And since you just spent 100k rehabbing those 9 homes your at $254k purchase with YOU taking all the risk, effort and energy... plus the loss of income while you rehab and resell those 9 trailers which is going to take time. 

When a pre-construction deal is exceptionally good, I might buy more condos than we need knowing that we can resell the surplus shortly before delivery.

For example, we (myself included), have a pretty strong base of flippers looking for deals they can buy, renovate, and resell. 

However, we usually buy the asset first and then resell when complete. 

If it went any higher the argument for renting would become even stronger.The opportunity cost of tying up all that cash, time & energy is almost never worth it.One of the only times it makes since to finance your primary residence is when you know you are buying a property substantially under market, and reselling it.

I can wholesale the house for a quick profit but I would rather purchase it to resell.  

It's like me buying a house, doing nothing to it, and resell at a profit.

The thing with list brokers, we've found, is that they frequently order a large list and then resell it over time.

Two important considerations are if it's a cash deal and if your intent is to rent or resell.
