When you’re just starting out, the numbers can feel tight because a lot of the cash flow gets eaten up by repairs, vacancies, and other unexpected expenses.

This will increase the return above what can be obtained on a passive investment.The flipside of having the power to control everything is that it can be alot of work (and a full-time job if a person is putting in sweat equity).

More big name companies will join the STR industry and hosts who are not exceeding expectation will be weeded out by their money power.

California where expenses are really high, versus like Ohio (etc), where expenses are really low.Using leverage is always going to make your buying power go further.  

Building this company with my family has taught me the power of collaboration and the importance of playing to each other’s strengths.
