Networking is a great way to immerse yourself in the RE investing community and learn from other people!

You definitely need an investor-focused mortgage broker on your team - they will help you get loans.If you've been taking in a lot of American content, I would immersed yourself in Canadian content - there's lots.

For just starting out, I would try to immerse yourself in learning all that you can (listen to all the different podcasts, read BP book, read  books that BP people recommend, watch the free webinars that BP puts out weekly).

Immerse yourself around likeminded people and start developing relationships with those in the real estate industry.

@Kyle Winey a good starting point is to network with other local investors/wholesalers/agents and immerse yourself in that market.

Real estate is a unique niche and therefore, with most of the BP tax pros, you will be getting knowledge, experience, and judgment capability of staff that are completely immersed in the world of real estate.
