Their character, their payment record, how well they take care of you property, etc all these things are for you to discover with your tenants and build trust between each other. 2. when it comes to screening, you must check their credit, their paystubs, their employer and landlord references, their criminal background, I also get a copy of everyone's photo ID.3.

It's also worth noting that, given my community development background, the intent is to help them refi into traditional financing after they've established a payment history.

If they like the unit and want to move forward I send them an application through MySmartMove to get a background and credit check.

Also, was there a background check on the tenants possibly having criminal backgrounds and or background check to determine if the tenants had ever been evicted in the past?
