Based on others I've watched being done, it shouldn't take more than 3 days with a helper, assuming nothing unusual.I decided to use Hardieplank that comes already painted with a extended warranty.

A guy who has been in the trade long enough always has that helper or buddy that he can call to help on big jobs or they work together on giving each other business if the other is busy.

If I’m a painter and I don’t trust you yet, I want you to buy the materials and give me some cash by the end of day 1, if I didn’t get anything upfront. if i hire any helpers, I have to pay them immediately.

And if your helper already has any tile expirience even better!

None of my helpers would go back in the house.So I got three gallons of bleach and we ran in and poured it on the floor and ran out and left it to evaporate for the weekend.

Expecting one guy, or even one guy with a helper, who is MOONLIGHTING, to complete that much work in anything that resembles a reasonable period of time is unreasonable.

What I'd like to do is buy a distressed property, fix it up myself (with some helpers of course), and then sell for profit.

I have another carpenter & helper on board & willing to work at reduced rates for the 1st deal in exchange for giving them steady work down the road.

With a helper the job went very smoothly and I was done with the two attic areas in about an hour.
