A potential outlet for cheap gcs would be a pawn shop... but they wouldn't go this cheap.. maybe 80-85 cents on the dollar.... still a fat savings.

If I replace the cabinets/vanities, I'll always replace the sinks as well;- I will almost always replace the front door;- I will always replace any windows that are failed (fogged up);- I will replace all doorknobs, outlets, switches, outlet covers, switch plates.

I can't imagine any location in the USA that would allow an electrical outlet near the kitchen sink that is not GFCI protected.

The most common thing is they want way too many GFI's, Basement sump pump and washer outlets don't need to be GFI protected if they are single (as opposed to duplex) outlets!

After a lot of advice from bigger pockets (thanks JScott) I put together a spreadsheet of all my finish materials and item numbers/prices for each (cabinets, sinks, countertops, doors, faucets, etc.) all the way down to outlets, light switches and smoke detectors.

I tend to agree with you Ed, I find it hard to imagine any roofing contractor would be able to guarantee 100% that every nail has been removed from every flower bed, yard, driveway and sidewalk of every job.
