And as you move up in price we are seeing a lot of homes sold for cash.. last year in Charleston SC I sold a new build for 750k cash one this Jan.. we built sold for 2.2 mil cash. sold another one in December we built for 500k cash and in the pre 08 days nothing sold for cash or very few.most were first and seconds..

Not all agents know how to get the best possible rate on an NFIP quote so you may try getting a quote from another agent who is more experienced with NFIP.Last ditch - If you pay cash (no financing or plans to re-fi in the future) then you can own the property without flood insurance - aka self insure.
