Basically this makes the insurance useless even though they claim to cover up to $8,000 in repairs of a damaged sewer line.

I could see lots of folks with limited equity and no flood insurance on their house walking away from the mortgage before spending the tens of thousands of dollars to fix flood damage.

He had to deal with many of the exact same issues; non-paying tenants, turnover/foreclosure, and even repairs.Just as an example, he had a lower income couple buy a home from him and they had a bad storm come through and damage the roof.
