I would also schedule a inspection this week and have them go over everything that is going on with the property (have them write it down or sticky it as  @Lynn M. stated)  Hopefully these guys are new tenants and you can get them in line before they get used to doing things this way.

You can try to get that info from a neighbor or leave a sticky note on the front door or other visible area (like the mail box) where the heirs are and/or what your purpose is including your willingness to help them solve any problem.Good luck to you!
