I had to remind myself to; stay humble and, that "society" may think delivering pizzas is below a respectable adult, but the rest of society is BROKE! 

A modern, power-vented, condensing water heater is 20% more efficient than an older draft/convectional flue water heater.The upfront sticker price is normally <10% of the lifetime operating costs ... if you compare an older convectional flue gas water heater (EFT 0.60 - 0.75) to a new sealed-combustion, direct vented, condensing water heater (EFT 0.85 - 0.90), the newer should more than make up for the sticker difference over its life.

I hadn't thought about the more subdued entryways...but I think that is natural as people lean more towards craftsmen and modern styles vs. the Tuscan style villas of a decade ago. 

Its all about changing how society wants you to think and break away from that monotony and get systems in place.

As one would imagine, such large one-off lodging were unique and rich experiences, as they were run individually and without modern day economies of scale.It took almost a century for the hotel industry to change, and the 1950s and 60s began the second age of the hotel.

The law also brings in new liabilities for landlords in that they must keep the 28 day notice secret from the other party and if they fail to so may be fined and/or sued.I am sympathetic to the overall goals but this is a classic case of politicians offloading society's problems onto landlords, who they perceive as having bottomless pockets.
