I know that the question of "Should I get my real estate license" has been asked hundreds of times on Bigger pockets, but I wanted to ask if there would be any benefit for a real estate broker/agent to also hold an NMLS license (Mortgage broker license).

There is a large brokerage firm and a few newsletters devoted to our industry that attempts to give some average purchase CAP rates.

I’ve done everything from major rehabs, rentals, property management, general brokerage, leases, owner financing, multifamily & single family investment properties.

My question is in the state of California, is it required to obtain a brokerage license if you want to manage properties under a firm?

Hey guys I just finished my real estate agent course in Utah and passed my test now I need to find a good investor friendly brokerage to get my feet in the door.  

Posting negative information about a specific matter in a public place could be construed as slanderous and while the info could be accurate, exposes you to the wrath of an angry seller, contractor or brokerage. 

I offer a flat fee per closing specifically for owner/agents, as well as the more traditional brokerage commission splits if you're looking to build your brand.

If you get RE brokerage license (which might be more difficult to obtain depending on your state requirements) then you can pocket much larger commission check but it may also come with added liability and costs.
